Saint George’s School is a school in Bogotá, Colombia, offering education from preschool to high school to around 1400 pupils. The campus has a surface area of around 7 hectares and consists of forest, a lake, around 30 buildings, squares, roads, paths and sport fields.
In 2011 an environmental evaluation is made, comparing the environmental performance of the school with the standards of LEED, leading to a range of proposals to improve. The implementation of the improvements focuses on:
- Sustainable building design and advice;
- Environmental management: waste management, energy efficiency, water saving and sustainable products;
- Educational projects.
In 2016 Saint George's School earns the national sustainability award BIBO for best in the education sector.
